Illuminati Motor Works captain Kevin Smith, with the assistance of team members Thomas Pasko and Josh Spradlin, demonstrates the gull-wing doors on their entry for the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE competition. The team, based in Divernon, Ill., will compete against more than 50 other teams from around the world in the $10 million quest to create an economically-viable vehicle that averages more than 100 miles per gallon. The competition's technical qualifiers begin in spring 2010.
